Over the course of August and Early September the Irish branch of the BSAP regimental association have enjoyed several gatherings for its members.
On Saturday 7th August, they held their first annual Summer Braai at Honeysuckle Farm, Enniscorthy, County Wexford. It was great to see so many faces there and the wonderful spread of food was enjoyed by all.
On Friday 3rd September there was a gathering of some of the early arrivals to the Annual Dinner which was held at the Howth Yacht Club. We were delighted to have two Matebele and two mashonas present. A brilliant time was had by all those that attended. Both the gathering on Friday 3rd and the Annual Dinner on Friday 4th September were a great success and enjoyed by all those who attended. It was wonderful to see old friends re-united and new friendships being made.
Going forward the plan is to hold two main functions every year. The Summer Braai will be held on the first weekend of June every year at Honeysuckle Farm, Enniscorthy, Wexford, and the Annual Dinner will be held the first weekend of September every year in Howth, Dublin.
Thank you to everyone who travelled from all over Ireland to attend these events and to who those who contributed towards making all events so memorable.
